Feeling Stuck? God Is Still Moving You Forward
Have you ever stepped on the scale in the morning and thought, What is happening?
Up one pound. Down three pounds. Up two pounds.
Some days it feels like progress. Other days it feels like you are going backward.
Faith can feel the same way.
There are seasons in our spiritual walk when we wonder if we are growing at all. We pray, seek God, read His Word, and try to stay faithful—yet inwardly it can feel like we are standing still.
But what if you are not stuck at all? What if God is working in ways you cannot yet see?
God Knows How to Get You Where You Need to Be
Jesus told Paul that He had chosen him to open people’s eyes so they could receive “a place and portion among those who are consecrated and purified by faith" in Him.
That means faith is not wasted. Trust is not empty. God uses every season to bring us deeper into Him.
Sometimes progress is invisible, but Isaiah gives us this promise:
“I will lead the blind by ways they have not known,
along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light before them
and make the rough places smooth.”
— Isaiah 42:16
Even when you cannot see the road ahead, God can.
God Is Working in You Right Now
Scripture reminds us:
“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.”
— Philippians 2:13
You may feel weak, tired, or unmotivated—but God is still at work beneath the surface.
He is shaping desires.
He is renewing strength.
He is building trust.
He is preparing you for what is next.
And He will supply what you need:
“God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:8
In seasons where I feel stuck, I’ve learned to slow down and get intentional—writing things out, sitting with scripture, and creating space for God to move.
Don’t Give Up in the Middle
Some of the hardest places in life are the “middle places.”
The beginning had excitement.
The ending has promise.
But the middle feels slow, confusing, and stretching.
That is where many people quit.
But Hebrews tells us to run with endurance, fixing our eyes on Jesus—the Founder and Perfecter of our faith.
When you feel weary, consider Him.
When you feel delayed, look to Him.
When you feel stuck, trust Him.
It Takes the Process
Sometimes God uses storms.
Sometimes He uses stripping seasons.
Sometimes He uses highs and lows.
Not to destroy you.
To refine you.
To loosen your grip on your own plans.
To teach surrender.
To make room for something greater than what you imagined.
The Time Will Come
Never forget this promise:
“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
— Isaiah 60:22
God is not late.
He is not confused.
He is not finished with you.
Final Encouragement
If you feel stuck today, don’t measure your progress only by what you can see.
Walk by faith.
Trust the process.
Keep surrendering.
Keep moving.
Keep believing.
God is taking you somewhere.
And He knows exactly how to get you there.
